Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness. I may use paintbrushes to stimulate a follicular and proprioceptive response to illicit a lymphatic flow response.
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage therapy. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - \"shi\" (finger) and \"atsu\" (pressure). In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body, gentle stretching techniques are applied over a wider area of the body to integrate the point work and encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body. Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind, and spirit. The clinician may also use moxa, tuning forks, and acupressure magnets as adjunctive therapies.
I offer three different types of massage therapy with aromatherapy being the main component of the session. Doterra's Aroma Touch is a layering of 8 therapeutic oils and blends to engage the nervous, lymphatic, and limbic systems. Amazing beneficial for fatigue, low-grade dis-ease, and integration after trauma work.
Tisserand's Chakra Balancing Oils are used as single notes to work on blockages in the chakras, with adjunctive resonance healing techniques: singing bowls, kirtan, and tuning forks.
Individual care for specific illnesses can be requested in advance so the therapist can develop a grouping of oils which speak to the relaxation of the mind and body, the immunological evolution of the condition, and the nervous system health of the individual.
Sound Therapy
Service is performed with a Zen bowl and also in the shiatsu style, with tuning forks along the meridians.
